Dry (Lacks Oil)
Oil on the surface of the skin is a natural barrier to moisture loss. Water will be sealed in the skin, affording it a more hydrated appearance, when this acid mantle is in balance. An impeded acid mantle, or lack thereof will create a very dry skin, with the appearance of being rough and flaky and even may show signs of premature aging.
